With reference to our circular letter dated 1st

September, 1938, regarding pensions granted from the Hong Kong

Widows' and Orphans' Pensions Fund on or after 1st June, 1938,

I have to inform you that after further consideration the Hong

Kong Government has now decided that the prospective pension

(or dollar portion of pension) registered in your name will

continue to be eligible for payment at the privileged rate of

conversion of 38. to the dollar.
